
On the morning of April 3, a delegation led by Tomasz Pietrzykowski, Vice President of the University of Silesia (Poland), visited Dalian Maritime University (DMU). Zeng Qingcheng, Vice President of DMU, met with the guests in Room 919 of the Comprehensive Building.

Vice President Zeng Qingcheng extended a warm welcome to Tomasz Pietrzykowski and introduced DMU’s educational strengths, disciplinary development, and international cooperation initiatives. He emphasized the university’s commitment to global collaboration and expressed hope that the signing of a cooperation agreement would leverage the complementary advantages of both institutions to deepen collaboration in talent cultivation and scientific research.

Tomasz Pietrzykowski thanked DMU for its hospitality and provided an overview of the University of Silesia’s academic scale, program offerings, and student training practices. He stated that this visit would enhance mutual understanding and looked forward to practical cooperation in areas such as faculty and student exchanges and dual-degree programs.

Following the talks, the two universities signed a Memorandum of Cooperation (MoC), agreeing to collaborate on faculty visits, joint student training, and research partnerships. The meeting was attended by representatives from DMU’s College of Foreign Languages and the International Cooperation and Exchange Office.
During the visit, the delegation toured the Maritime Education Museum and Navigation Simulator Laboratory, and Tomasz Pietrzykowski delivered an academic lecture for faculty and students of the College of Foreign Languages.
