DMU Signs Cooperation Agreement with China Classification Society

On the afternoon of February 27, the signing ceremony for the cooperation agreement between Dalian Maritime University (DMU) and the China Classification Society (CCS) was held in the Lingshui International Conference Hall on the second floor of the Comprehensive Building. President Zhao Yan and Vice President Zhang Qingwen of CCS, General Manager Zhang Hui and Party Secretary Xing Fanhui of CCS Dalian Branch, along with President Shan Hongjun, Vice Presidents Zhao Baogang and Ji Yulong of DMU, attended the signing ceremony and held a symposium.



Prior to the symposium, Xu Minqiang, Secretary of the Party Committee of DMU, accompanied Zhao Yan and his delegation on a tour of the Maritime Education Museum, the National Engineering Research Center for Ship Navigation Systems, and the Intelligent Ship Shore-Based Digital Control Center.

At the symposium, Shan Hongjun welcomed Zhao Yan and his delegation on behalf of DMU and expressed gratitude to CCS for its consistent concern and support for DMUs development. He emphasized that in recent years, the two sides have focused on advancing high-quality development in the transportation industry, continuously deepening cooperation in talent cultivation, technological innovation, and platform construction, and achieved a series of significant outcomes. He stated that, standing at the new starting point of the high-quality launch of the 15th Five-Year Plan (2026-2030), he hopes that both parties will take the signing of this cooperation agreement as an opportunity to further deepen practical cooperation through an approach of project-based cooperation and task-based project management in such areas as joint research and technological breakthroughs, achievement transformation and standard formulation, co-construction of high-level scientific research platforms, and joint talent cultivation and exchanges. He also expressed the expectation to drive the delivery of high-quality cooperation outcomes and jointly contribute to accelerating the development of a strong transportation network, a strong maritime country, and a strong shipping country.

Zhao Yan expressed gratitude to DMU for its long-standing strong support for the development of CCS. He noted that CCS and DMU enjoy a profound historical connection and have carried out extensive and fruitful cooperation in various fields. The signing of the cooperation agreement marks an important milestone for both parties to deepen cooperation and seek common development. He expressed his hope that the two sides will, in the future, focus on key areas such as polar navigation, intelligent shipping, and clean energy, and conduct more practical and efficient cooperation centering on key factors including safety, environmental protection and sustainable development. They will further strengthen the sharing of talent and scientific research resources, closely integrate the development of CCS into a world-class society with DMUs Double First-Class initiative, and jointly contribute to advancing the high-quality development of Chinas shipping industry.


Zhang Qingwen and Ji Yulong signed the cooperation agreement on behalf of the two parties.

Lin Gengjing, Director of the Human Resources Department of CCS, and Zhou Yu, Director of the Personnel Department of DMU, signed the Cooperation Plan on Education, Science and Technology and Talent Development on behalf of the two parties.

Officials from relevant departments of the CCS, including the Department of Human Resources, the Department of Science, Technology and Information, the Department of International Affairs, the Research Institute of Waterborne Transport Equipment Safety, and CCS Dalian Branch, as well as relevant personnel from relevant departments of DMU, including the Party and Government Office, the Personnel Department, the Academic Affairs Office, the Department of Science and Technology, the Graduate School, the Department of Development Planning and Discipline Construction, the Alumni Affairs and Student Employment Office, and the Office of International Cooperation and Exchanges, attended the discussions and the signing ceremony.
