On January 26, as the traditional Chinese Lunar New Year of the Snake was approaching, Xu Minqiang, Party Secretary of the university, and Shan Hongjun, the President, along with other university leaders, conducted an on-campus visit. They inspected the campus security management and extended New Year greetings and best wishes to the international students staying on campus and to staff members on duty during the holiday.
During the visit, the university leaders had warm conversations with staff on duty, inquiring in detail about the operation and security measures during the Spring Festival. At the Emergency Command Center, the leaders inspected the campus security and made specific instructions on related tasks. They emphasized the importance of following the principle of the "Three Key Aspects Not to Be Overestimated”, strengthening patrols, closely monitoring key areas, and proactively assessing potential risks and hazards to ensure campus security and stability throughout the holiday.
At the substation, university leaders inquired in detail about the campus power supply and electrical safety. They emphasized the importance of ensuring proper logistical support for staff on duty, so they can remain at their posts while also enjoying a warm and peaceful Spring Festival.
At the International Students’ Education Center, the leaders participated in the international students' Spring Festival cultural activities. They warmly inquired about the students' studies and daily life, reminding them of staying vigilant about safety to ensure a peaceful and auspicious Chinese New Year on campus. They also encouraged the students to experience the excellent traditional Chinese culture through the celebration and to act as friendly ambassadors of cultural exchanges.
Officials from the university's Party and Administration Office, Security Office, International Students’ Education Center, and the Logistics Service (Group) Company accompanied the leaders during the visit and New Year greetings.
