On December 5th and 6th, training ship Паллада of Far Eastern State Technical Fisheries University docked in Dalian port to carry out student training activities.

On the morning of Dec. 6th, DMU Vice-President Liu Zhengjiang, together with 50 faculty members, visited training ship Паллада. Captain Tolovikov Sergei and other crew members held a grand welcome ceremony. Students on board also displayed training activities like crew member craftsmanship and sail-setting. Then the two parties had an in-depth discussion on the construction and operation of sailing ships, and issues like students cultivation.

On the afternoon of December 6th, Vice-President Zhao Youtao met with the delegation of training ship Паллада. He briefly reviewed the exchange history of the two universities and hoped that the two universities carry out more exchange activities.

Captain Tolovikov Sergei expressed sincere thanks for the warm reception. He extended good wishes from President Zorchenko Nikolay Kuzmich and introduced other international exchanges of Паллада. Then the two parties discussed issues like DMU students’ global practices on board Паллада and students & faculties exchanges.

After the meeting, the delegation visited DMU’s Ship-Handling Simulator, Land-based Engine Room, and Navigation Training and Engineering Practice Center.
