On the morning of March 13th, a delegation headed by Liu Guojin, East Asia Business Manager of Antwerp Port Authority, visited DMU.
Vice-President Zhao Youtao extended a warm welcome and expressed a sincere gratitude to the delegation of Antwerp Port Authority for the establishment of the Port of Antwerp Maritime Awards at DMU. He briefly introduced DMU and the recruitment and employment situation of marine major students. He also stated that DMU attached great importance to teacher training and student exchange and hoped to strengthen the educational cooperation in teacher training and student exchange.
Mr. Liu Guojin said that Antwerp Port Authority highly appreciated the long-term cooperative relationship with DMU. He hoped to renew the agreement to further promote the university-enterprise cooperation and share latest information and ideas for the mutual development. Meanwhile, he invited DMU leaders, faculty and students to visit Antwerp Port Authority.
Prof. Fu Xianping, Director of International Cooperation and Exchange Office, said that he hoped Antwerp Port Authority could provide DMU faculty and students with training and internship. He also hoped both parties could undertake joint academic research to advance cooperation.
Both parties consent to student internship, teacher training, invitation to engineers fro lectures and joint academic research.
It is learned that DMU invited President of Antwerp Port Authority to attend the 110th anniversary celebration of DMU when both parties will renew the agreement.
