The Fourth FTCTF-NTU Advanced Leadership Development Forum: “Belt and Road” Initiative and International Talents Nurturing was held from February 22^nd to 28^th. The forum was co-hosted by Tan Chin Tuan Foundation and Nanyang Technological University. Over 20 China’s institutions including Dalian Maritime University were invited to attend the forum to discuss the cultivation of international talents. On behalf of DMU, Vice-President Liu Zhengjiang attended the forum and made a report titled “The Goal and Practice of Dalian Maritime University to Develop World-Class Maritime University”. Issues on “Developing International Universities”, “Developing First-Class Universities”, “Autonomy and Reform of Universities”, “Influence of ‘Belt and Road’ Initiative”, etc. were discussed.

Liu Zhengjiang introduced the goal of developing world-class maritime university and practices in talent cultivation, scientific research, management system, international education as well as the development under the guidance of “Double First-Class” Initiative. The speech triggered participants’ heated discussion.
