On December 4, Dalian Maritime University (DMU) and CMA CGM Group signed a memorandum in Beijing. Vice Minister of the Ministry of Transport Fu Xuyin met with Chairman and CEO of the CMA CGM Group Rodolphe Saadé and witnessed the signing ceremony.
Fu Xuyin extended a warm welcome to Rodolphe Saadé and his delegation. He noted that CMA CGM Group is a leading enterprise in the global shipping industry and has achieved remarkable results through mutually beneficial cooperation with Chinese shipping companies. Emphasizing the vast potential of the Chinese market, he expressed the hope that CMA CGM would strengthen its ties with relevant Chinese enterprises and, building on their solid foundation of cooperation, further deepen practical collaboration in areas such as green shipping, intelligent shipping, and talent development, thereby contributing to the sustainable development of global transport.
Rodolphe Saadé introduced the business operations of the group and expressed full confidence in China's development. He stated that CMA CGM is committed to maintaining close communication with relevant Chinese enterprises, actively engaging in various forms of friendly exchanges and cooperation for mutual benefit.
After the meeting, Fu Xuyin and Rodolphe Saadé jointly witnessed the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding on Partnership Cooperation between CMA CGM Group and Dalian Maritime University by President Shan Hongjun and Bo Wegener, CEO of CMA CGM Asia Pacific. According to the memorandum, the two parties will collaborate in areas such as student internship programs, curriculum development, seafarer training, and executive training.
Officials from relevant departments and bureaus of the Ministry of Transport and the Civil Aviation Administration of China also attended the meeting.
