Deputy Secretary General of CPC DMU Committee Xu Minqiang led a delegation to attend the Third Chinese, Singaporean and Malaysian Belt and Road and International Talent Nurturing Forum from March 4th to 11th at the invitation of Nanyang Technological University and University of Malaya. Director of Organization Department Zhao Baogang participated in related study and discussion.

The forum was held by Nanyang Technological University and University of Malaya. It aimed at fostering a mutual flow of international talents along the Belt and Road, promoting the cooperation between Chinese universities and countries along the Belt and Road and exploring the strategies for college modernization. The forum discussed international and innovative talent introduction, cultivation, management, assessment and mechanism building of related top disciplines.
Xu Minqing delivered a speech on “ International Talent Nurturing: Universities’ Responsibility in the Development of the Belt and Road”. In his speech, he interpreted DMU’s ideas from three perspectives, the role that maritime education plays in the Belt and Road, colleges’ responsibility and the deepening of maritime cooperation. The speech received a positive response.

Besides, college leaders of Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Nanjing University, Chongqing University, Northwestern Polytechnical University and Northeast Normal University also attended the forum.
