A Delegation of Rajamangala University of Technology Srivijaya, Thailand Visited DMU

On March 26th, a delegation of Rajamangala University of Technology Srivijaya (RUTS), Thailand visited DMU. DMU Vice-President Zhao Youtao met with the delegation.

 

 

Vice-President Zhao extended warm welcome to the delegation. He introduced admissions, academics, faculties and international cooperation of DMU and hoped to establish cooperative partnership with RUTS.

 

         

 

Dr. Suwat Tanyaros, the Vice-President of RUTS, thanked for the warm greeting and gave a brief introduction to RUTS. He said that he was glad to visit the DMU, a world-famous maritime university. According to Dr. Suwat Tanyaros, RUTS opened the Maritime Engineering program just a year ago, and he wished to cooperate with the DMU in faculty training and students exchange, which would be helpful to improve their expertise.  

 

         

 

The internship of RUTS students on the training ship of DMU was discussed. Finally, the two parties reached a consensus of signing the MOU.

The delegates from RUTS also include Dr. Charoon Charoennetkul, dean of Faculty of Engineering, Dr. Kwanhatai Jaipiem, director of College of Industrial Technology and Management, Mrs. Supaporn Chairat, dean of Faculty of Technology Management, and Dr. Panu Promputthangkoon and Dr. Jaruwat Jareanjit, lecturers of Faculty of Engineering.

It is learned that RUTS is one of the nine universities in the group of Rajamangala University of Technology (RMUT) in Thailand. It has three campuses. Currently there are over 16,000 students and 4,000 to 5,000 students are enrolled each year.
