As one of the most developed municipalities and major hubs of China, Dalian offers countless opportunities and attractions to guests coning from around the world each year . Every year , a great number of domestic and international tourists draw
their attention either to the Tiger Beach for its pole
aquarium or to the peaceful Binhai Road for an inspiring
view of the Yellow Sea.

Dalian Maritime University (DMU) was formed in 1953 through the amalgamation of
three merchant marine institutions. DMU is the only key maritime
institution under the Ministry of Communications, People¡¯s
Republic of China.
Over the past 5 decades, DMU has educated and trained more than 40,000 graduates
for the Chinese maritime industry and many graduates have been
promoted to important positions in government and society. DMU alumni
have served as Ministers of Communications, provincial
vice-governors, presidents and chairpersons of holding firms in
the maritime industry, and managing directors of shipping
companies.
Within its 13 colleges and 3 departments, DMU presently has 1 post¨Cdoctoral program, 9 programs at the doctoral level , 25 master courses and 25 undergraduate courses. The university¡¯s administrative staff
numbers approximately 2,300 , including about 800 professors,
associate professors and lecturers. The annual enrollment of students over the past three years has averaged 3,540 pre year,
including 70 or so overseas students. The total number of
enrolled full-time students now stands at nearly 15,000.
The DMU campus covers a land area of around 0.899 square kilometers. The buildings on
the campus encompass an area of 0.440 square kilometers. The
University¡¯s assets amount to 571 million RMB . This includes lecture
halls, laboratory facilities , libraries, computer labs, a multimedia instruction center, ship-handling simulators , a
engine room simulator, and three 10,000-ton ocean-going vessels.

¡ñDoctoral degree in marine engineering or relevant disciplines; or
¡ñMaster's degree in marine engineering or relevant disciplines; or
¡ñBachelor's degree in marine engineering, naval
architecture

| Work Load: |
Average: 10 teaching hours each
week, one seminar each month. |
| Accommodations: |
Free apartment with central
heating system, computer; TV set; air conditioner, as well
fully furnished, including basic utilities. |
| Contract Period: |
The contract with DMU shall be
preferably one academic year, i.e. September to July of
the following
year. |
| Air Ticket: |
An international round trip ticket shall be provided by DMU . The ticket can be purchased and will be
reimbursed upon successful completion of the
contract. |
