International Joint Programs and Joint Projects

In order to promote its international reputation and establish global partnerships, DMU is developing a number of innovative and outstanding joint programs and projects. The following two are the examples:

◇ The Master of Science Program on Maritime Safety and Environmental Management (MSc on MSEM Program)
This Program is organized by World Maritime University and Dalian Maritime University. The goal of this program is to meet the need for high-level professionals capable of handling increasingly complex and important issues of maritime safety and marine environment protection in the context of ever-increasing production. The entire program is delivered over 15 months in three sections in English at Dalian Maritime University by an international faculty. Students who successfully complete the program will be awarded the degree of Master of Science by World Maritime University.
◇ Academic Cooperative Program between Colombo International Nautical and Engineering College (CINEC), Sri Lanka and Dalian Maritime University (DMU)
The cooperation covers two parts:
☉ CINEC recruits local students in Colombo, conducts undergraduate education according to DMU standards, and awards the graduates DMU’s Degree.
☉ CINEC conducts training to local seafarers according to DMU standards, and awards the graduates DMU’s Graduation Certificate.
The cooperation is the first try that China exports its excellent maritime education resource. It is also a significant step in DMU’s process of becoming a maritime education center of Asia-Pacific region.
