On the morning of December 2nd, a delegation led by Mr. Hiroyasu Takaizumi, Chief Representative of NYK in China, visited Dalian Maritime University and attended the awarding ceremony of NYK scholarships and grants in the academic year 2018-2019.

Zhao Youtao, on behalf DMU, extended warm welcome to the delegation and sincere thanks for its scholarships and grants. He briefly reviewed the cooperation between DMU and NYK over the past 19 years and hoped to strengthen mutual cooperation in the development and talent training in the future. 

Mr. Hiroyasu Takaizumi expressed sincere thanks for the warm reception and great pleasure to visit DMU again and to attend the awarding ceremony. Mr. Hiroyasu Takaizumi also said that NYK scholarships and grants have been set up for 19 years, and he hoped to work together with DMU to reinforce the development of the shipping industry.

After the talks, Zhao Youtao and Hiroyasu Takaizumi attended the awarding ceremony of NYK scholarships and grants in the academic year 2018-2019.

In the awarding ceremony, Zhao Youtao congratulated the 44 award-winning students. He said that NYK scholarships and grants, as both a spiritual and material award, had inspired and motivated the students to strive forward constantly with excellent results. He hoped they could cherish the honor, play the role of model demonstration, help enhance the study atmosphere in DMU, and strive to become talents who can adapt to the development of the society.

In his speech, Mr. Hiroyasu Takaizumi congratulated the winners and briefly introduced the history, company philosophy of NYK and the history of scholarships and grants. He said NYK has a long-standing relationship with DMU, and the scholarships and grants establishment is a public activity of NYK in the educational area. He also hoped that these 44 students could cherish their study life and have a better future.
