DMU Draws up an Agreement with Colombo International Nautical and Engineering College

       On the afternoon of June 7th, the signing ceremony for a cooperative MBA program between DMU and Colombo International Nautical and Engineering College (CINEC) was held at Conference Room 817, of Administrative Building. Mr. Wang Zuwen, President of DMU and Mr. Asitha Wijesekara, Dean of Colombo International Nautical and Engineering College signed on the contract. Several officials attended the ceremony, including Mr. Xu Bin, Director of International Cooperation & Cooperation Department, DMU, Ms. Ma Xiaoxue, Deputy Dean of Specialized Degree College, Ms. Meng Liyan, Deputy Dean of Graduate School, Mr. Zhang Hanyu, Deputy Director of Students Affairs Department, Captain Ajith Peiris, Executive President of CEYLINE Group, Colombo and Captain Nalaka Jayakody, Dean of Business Department, CINEC.
       
       Since October 2006 DMU and CINEC have signed three contracts concerning education at the undergraduate level. They cover navigation, marine engineering and transportation. Through joint effort, the cooperative school-running program has attracted more than 300 students; and the projects and programs are going smoothly. In order to enlarge the field of cooperation, after serious consideration and careful preparations the two parties decided to run a joint MBA program.
       
       This program will not only cultivate more MBA talents for Sri Lanka and other neighboring countries, but also help improve the cooperation and strengthen the friendship between two parties. Further, it can make due contributions to promotion of friendship between Sri Lanka and China.
